this is the composite sketch for, and the actual pumpkin teeny and i carved last saturday for pumpkinfest! there’s nothing to give it scale but it’s about 2 foot tall and wide. i think we did ok for our first try. we might have learned a thing or 2 for next time.

3 things i got at the golden nugget flea market today. sweet book on Guimard, i talked him down to $12. some weird light i got for a buck. it has some weird little motor attached i can’t figure out. i hope to retro-fit it to the honda as the taillight. anyone have any ideas what it is? oh and the clock was given to me for free cause it doesn’t work. i thought it looked cool. i’m about to take it apart and make it work even less i’m sure.
punk rock fleamarket was a bust. unless i wanted old ninja turtle shirts or bowls made out of old lps. hopefully it’ll be better tomorrow. but i doubt it.

did some work on my retro-futuristic ray gun. as usual i forgot to take before pictures. so, the main gun part is an old air tool. i think it’s some sort of sander from ingersoll rand. prob from the 60’s. i welded the front muzzle which is some sort of bearing assembly. The black and silvery thingy towards the front is aslo some sort of random bearing assembly i found. i have no idea what that thing on top is but its wonderful. my only guess is that it’s a peice from an actual ray gun. the weld is actually broken, and needs to be fixed with some JB WELD. i sculpted the trigger gaurd from a punch drop of steal i found in the trash at DISSTON PRECISION INC after i took a tour there. it’s welded in the front. i wanna add some other do-dads n stuff. maybe some LEDs or some wires and or steam fittings. i hope to make a fancy box for it to go into. like it belongs to some retired space ranger. more posts to come.

so i got my honda to my new place. i built a new stand for it and and been tinkering a bit. i’m hoping to score a good set of tools on craigslist. or just steal my dads. but i doubt that would go over well. hopefully i’ll start getting some serious work done on it, now that it lives in my living room.

it happens often enough...
- at least once a week i do something obviously stupid, and ken is usually the one that points it out. this usually happens via a chat window, so i figure i'll post them when it happens.

- ME: but it just brought me to the top pf the 10th page of results

- KEN: did you get any more sales than that when it was featured?
- ME: it was only featured for about an hour
- KEN: can you do the featured as an auction?
